Recently, the Linux Mint project released a fairly major update to 17.3. At fist, they did not offer an update for an existing system but promised to release that laster. Now, a good while after the official release publication, I was trying to find info on how to do this "in place" update. I scanned their [home page](http://linuxmint.com/) to no avail. The PDF documentation did not provide any info either. Only after googling around I found [a blog post](http://blog.linuxmint.com/?p=2955) explaining the update progress. I performed the update and everything went very smooth. Too bad that the project does not put that important bit of info in a more prominent place ...
